Portland, OR, October 04, 2007 –(PR.com)– Plus-size model casting call: Winner will win the coveted lead spot in new plus-size campaign for MEWV Sustainables
MEWV Sustainables, a new plus-size fashion line, is looking for its signature face for their debut this December. Plus-size model hopefuls will have their chance Sunday, Oct. 7 in Portland, Ore. and Sunday Oct. 21 in Los Angeles. MEWV has partnered with the number one magazine for plus-size fashion and Portland-based business, SKORCH Magazine, to find the one winner.
Five finalists will be chosen from each city visited. The top fifteen finalists will then be judged by a panel of industry leaders including Mia Tyler – Plus Size Model/Celebrity, Catherine Schuller – Industry Consultant/Author, Bette Tilch – Industry leading stylist, and more. Readers at SKORCHMagazine.com will vote as well. The winner will be flown, accommodations paid, to shoot a full fashion spread for SKORCH Magazine and promotional and campaign shots for MEWV Sustainables.
SKORCH Magazine, founded by Jessica Kane and Carrie Woomer, has taken the plus-size fashion industry by storm. Launched in January of 2007, the Portland-based virtual magazine SKORCH has made a huge impact not only in the plus-size industry, but the fashion industry as a whole. SKORCH Magazine offers trendy plus-size fashion to the 20-something woman. Kane and Woomer have appeared three times on the Portland, Oregon morning show, AM Northwest, showcasing plus-size fashion.

OMGoddess Edit Note: In “Googling” the name MEWV Sustainables, I found a site that has a clothing line of size 4-12 clothing. I’m going to ASSume (since mine is big) that they have not unveiled their line of plus sizes yet.
